Romantic Summer Wedding at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo, Washington
Monica and Sam got married on a gorgeous summer day at the Kiana Lodge wedding venue in Poulsbo, Washington. From the moment I met these two for their engagement session I was obsessed with them and their love story. During their engagement session, they were all laughs and giggles. Everything flowed to naturally and beautifully. The way they looked at each other, the way she would cling on to him while they adventured through Mount Rainier. It was just as perfect on their wedding day. Monica and Sam started their day getting ready with their favorite people. They sipped on some champagne and shared laughs until it was time for their first look. This couple chose to have a first look and you can just see how magical it was in the photos. Their ceremony was just as romantic with colorful wildflowers decorated all over. The rest of the night you can just see in their faces how completely at bliss they are. Also- a moment for Monica’s dress!! This whole day was absolutely perfect!
When they were all ready to go and it was time for their first look, Sam made his way to the first look spot. It was so magical being able to capture this private moment for them. First looks always make me tear up! The smile on Sam’s face when he first laid eyes on Monica was so heartwarming. These two just radiate love for each other.
After their first look, they went off to celebrate with their friends and family. At this time we did some photos with the groomsmen and bridesmaids. Their whole family was so excited for them and they were so sweet to work with!
Finally, it was time to say “I do!” Their water-front ceremony was absolutely stunning. They had decorated with colorful wildflowers everywhere and were surrounded by their favorite people. Something out of a fairytale.
After their ceremony, we ran off towards the lake for some bride & groom portraits. These photos are usually my couples favorite photos from their day. Sneaking off to just enjoy some time alone with your new spouse is so special. Monica and Sam really enjoyed just loving on each other and walking by the lake. The little breeze that day made for the dreamiest veil shots. It was just so perfect.
Underneath a string of lights, they had their first dance which was the sweetest thing to witness. They each had their special dances, Sam with his mom and Monica with her gramps, before starting the real party. They danced all night and took a little break for a slice of cake. A little moment for this cake by the way- stunning!
